- I don't know why I bother responding to this level of post. Maybe just
- once a month to keep my sanity.
-
- At any rate, AGA Amiga are _entirely_ capable of performing at resolutions
- far above the SVGA standard of 640 x 480. I would imagine Amigas can run
- Netscape just fine under one of the many fine PC or Mac emulators -- I say
- "imagine" as I don't need to use them, as I have Macs and IBMs as well --
- but even if that's not the case, we do have a wide variety of powerful
- Internet tools, including AmiTCP, Mosiac and Thor, that perform those
- functions nicely.
-
- I can't speak to Quake -- nor can you, since it's not done yet -- and I
- wouldn't hold NASCAR up as if it were some great PC trophy; Papyrus has
- done better games that do not involve driving in endless ovals.
-
- Moreover, I, for one, am delighted with Alien Breed 3D (which has some of
- Quake's features, like a true 3D world) and World Circuit/F1GP, whose
- marvelous user support (in the form of an editor that's constantly
- upgraded, and feature-rich patches) have added years to the life of an
- already-great game.
-
- I'll allow that Amigas are currently overpriced. This is not some great
- secret. I hope we'll see the prices drop when the new series of A1200s
- comes to market.
-
- Finally, it's rude to make generalizations about a whole continent. It
- doesn't exactly enhance your credibility, which is not exactly running
- high.
